Virola sebifera nut oil
The Ucuuba tree, which means "Greasy Tree" in the native Amazon language, grows in islands and areas flooded by river tides.
The cold-pressed butter from its nuts is a dark brown/black and more rigid than other butters. Natives use it to produce natural candles with a bright flame and pleasant scent.
It can be used up to 50% in black soap bases, or around 3% in creams and lotions. It can be blended 10-30% with soy for candlemaking.
