All 2oz, 4oz, 16oz, and 128oz/1gallon containers are filled by volume. For these oils, the density is generally close to 1 and 16oz is usually equivalent to one pound of oil, however, we do not guarantee weights and sell these packages by volume!2 - 16oz volumes arrive in filled cobalt blue round bottles. The blue tint prevents light from destroying the anti-oxidant qualities and pigments of these oils. They are filled and sealed so minimal air is present, further helping to preserve freshness.
All 128oz/1gallon F-style bottles are in opaque containers like this. They generally contain very close to eight pounds of oil, but are filled again, by volume.
11lb and larger pails are poured by weight in various opaque pails.
Powders, Butters, Gels, Waxes and Scrubs
All 8oz and 16oz jars and 128oz/1gallon pails are filled by volume. For the butters, waxes, gels, and scrubs, the density is generally close to 1 and 16oz is usually equivalent to one pound of material however, we do not guarantee weights and sell these packages by volume! The powders are definitely less dense and are still filled by volume, so you get less weight of a powdered oil in the same 8oz container as a butter.8oz and 16oz volumes are filled cobalt blue round jars. All 128oz/1gallon pails are in opaque pails like this filled by volume. For butters, one gallon is 8lbs of material, less for powders. The lids come right off for scooping, and snap back in place.
11lb and larger orders are all in plastic liners within cardboard cartons. These are all sold by weight.
